He said they were playing "fight" and wanted to be sure I mentioned on the blog that these, "were like Nerf guns, not REAL guns!"
An incredible extendable arm with a "bullet" at the end
Ramp for the bike to ride and jump off of
Ship with cannon on the front (and a barrel and dog to join in the fun!)
This Mini-fig. looks like he's enjoying himself!
Extender arm in action

My son's idea for making the bullet look like it's flying

As a homeschooling mom, it's very easy to become consumed with your children's education. Certainly we should be diligent in attending to their studies, but where is the line? And are we allowing our marriages to suffer? There is a great little book by Todd Wilson, "How to be a Great Wife...even though you homeschool"
This book is a great little reminder at setting right priorities and then also maintaining them! It's written by a homeschooling husband and father of 8 and I will be giving one copy away! Just enter through the rafflecopter widget below!
(please note the copy I am giving away is an actual book- not the ebook version, and it is "gently used") Open to all U.S. residents 18+
This sounds like a great read! I loved your son's Lego creations by the way! My 13 year old is in to Lego's too. I'll have to check in to the Lego Quest. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Laurie! Yes do check out the Lego quest! you don't need to have a blog to participate (she has instructions on her website =) )
DeleteIt looks like he did a great job--and had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteIf only all homeschooling projects involved Legos, I'd have a very happy boy! =)
DeleteI hadn't heard about this book before but BOY, does it look good! I could surely use the reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. My little one is just about to get into Legos so I'm excited to see this.
ReplyDeleteThe Lego Quest activity looks like so much fun! How neat! This book has been on my wishlist. I really need to read it, because homeschooling kind of "takes over" my life. I enjoy it way tooo much. I often need reminders that I am also a wife. I know this is embarrassing to say . . . but my saying it at least it become more real and helps me focus on it more. My husband saw and heard Todd Wilson at a conference. He said ALL of his materials sound great! Thank you for the chance to win this book and make some changes in my life.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing projects! He is quite the builder! I love the arm, and the bullet that is flying through the air. How cleaver.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mom you are. I hear you about the balance. This is a fantastic giveaway. I hope I win!
