Might as well start off right! This blog is my space to discuss the things that are important in my life. I am a mom- and most of my time is spent caring for my four children. I love to be crafty, if I have free time it is usually spent knitting, sewing, scrapbooking beading or looking up new projects to add to the never-ending list of "things I'd like to make"! I also work hard at keeping our home as free from toxic foods, chemicals, toys, etc. as I can. I homeschool our children and I firmly believe that the larger part of their learning happens when we are NOT sitting at the table doing "school". So it's an important decision when I choose which toys I allow in our home, or which videos we will borrow from the library, or what kind of activities we do together as a family. These are the things that will shape their world view, their opinions, their characters.
So this seemed like a great giveaway for me to do as my very first giveaway. Felt Food!
All lovingly hand-stitched by Yours truly,
A toy set that fosters imagination and playing together
Creativity and fine motor skills
I hope you enjoy playing with it as much as I enjoy playing with my own children in their kitchen

So exciting...great job! I love to play with blocks and watch them create whatever their imagination comes up with. Especially the small lego blocks. My son can really create some awesome "things".
ReplyDeleteAwesome! We love Legos around here too, I recently found this blog http://www.homegrownlearners.com/home/2013/8/28/learning-with-legos.html she's got some great ideas on how to incorporate Legos into you homeschool (and some free Lego printables!)
DeleteMy boys love building with Legos and my daughter loves playing kitchen and dolls.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment Nicole, my daughter is a big fan of her play kitchen too (made entirely from used boxes and duck tape =) )
DeleteI love watching children with their creative play! This is a fun set you made! Great job and so sweet to give it away! Good Luck All!
ReplyDeleteThank you 'D', I love watching creative play too, what a great way to learn to be more "child-like" ;)
DeleteLegos...playdough...paper and paste and tape and scissors and.... water (and bubbles, or colors or baking supplies, or freezer/sun, or....)
ReplyDeleteYes! "collages" are a really big hit around here (except when mommy doesn't want to pick up 101 paper scraps ;) )
DeleteI love the pita pockets!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melly!!! They did turn out cute =)
DeleteMy daugher loves playing with her "pee-oh" (play-doh) - we use our imagination to make all kinds of things, I just love seeing her creativity at work :)
ReplyDeleteYes we love play dough here too! =)
DeleteI like felt toys, legos, and and playdough.
ReplyDeletethanks for your comment, we love all those here as well =)
DeleteMy favorites are timeless things that I played with as a child, too, like Lincoln logs.
ReplyDeleteI loved Lincoln Logs as a child as well! Unfortunately, my sons think they make better swords than walls ;)
ReplyDeleteWe love Lego, Lincoln Logs, play-doh, rhythm instruments, blocks...anything open-ended!
ReplyDeleteThis is our goal as well. Although I find that my kids even find an imaginative way to use electric toys and such. Though I would prefer most of their time is not spent playing with those =)
DeleteLegos, blocks, paper and crayons, the kids love to dig outside, Sandbox is a favorite too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara! I love that little chubby profile picture!!! <3
DeleteI love reading your blog posts and happy that I finally figured out how to follow you :) Good luck everyone with the give away!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'm glad too! I'm surprised your not already sick of hearing my opinions, but I do love sharing them =)
